Twitters, Tweets, and FACE(book) time

I have no experience with Twitter so that was interest to check out. I am one of those archaic individuals who does not own textabilities, so as far as I'm concerned at this point, Twitter is but a mere thing to consider on the off chance of something glorious and rich. . . not too concerned about it. It was good to see how it all works, tho, in case any of my techno-savvy teens ask me about it.

Facebook info was great. It made me realize how much I need to pay closer attention to who can see what, or as the old song goes, "Who's Zoomin' Who!" Between the two articles I felt enabled to disable more stuff that just isn't anyone else's buzz-ness. I do love Facebook, though. It has been a great way to reconnect with old friends from high school and college. I try to limit the number of co-workers that I Friend on facebook as I don't want them knowing everything about me, or even ANYTHING about me. Someday soon, it may be time for a good weeding of friends.

My husband accused me of being a Social Networking addict. He could be on to something with that.

I do want to be more diligent in what we see teens at the Library sharing on Facebook. Some of the pictures I see of my nieces and their friends are frightening to me. Not that I am an innocent, but I just don't want their social lives plastered out there for all to see. This is a great topic for Teen Education/programming.
